But his solitary existence is disturbed by visits from the flirtatious Bainsley (Mélanie Thierry), and Bob (Lucas Hedges), Management’s wunderkind son.

Yet it is only once he experiences the power of love and desire that he is able to understand his very reason for being.

SECRET 35mm SCREENING
Once again BAFS presents a 35mm screening of a  film that begs to be seen in a movie theater on the BIG SCREEN. Also vintage 35mm trailers and other surprises will play before the film.

THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE - 40th Anniversary 4K Restoration - October 23 & 27

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - 40th Anniversary 4K Restoration

40 years after it was first released, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is still a sweaty, desperate, urgent masterpiece, a film that feels like it was made by lunatics, a movie that vows to unleash chaos and anarchy on the world. A movie that's still uncomfortable to watch.
A movie the still makes an impression.

The history of the restoration of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre has been almost as legendary as the history of the film itself. Long caught up in litigation due to conflicts with the first distributor, the film moved to New Line and in the early 90's the original film elements were found in a brown paper bag in the New Line vaults. Dark Sky Films has undertaken a series of transfers and restorations since then, but none of them equal the scope or intensity of this 40th Anniversary restoration. This is the only transfer of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre to go back to the original 16mm A/B rolls and have all audio and digital color grading and supervision done by Tobe Hooper.

See it like you have never seen it before... and if you have never seen it... WHAT THE HELL!

October 23rd & 27th at 7:30pm

$5 for CFS members, $10 for non-members.
